Set for release on various formats, the lead single, “Irma,” is short and sweet, a lo-fi post-punk track that sounds nasty and immediate. With shattering cymbal crashes and a noisy din, the fifty second track is takes rawness to heart, with a recorded din and sonic pallet that most would never attempt, but then again, most are not Dog Park.

Their latest single, “Fielder,” opens with a wonky and warped bit of dialogue (I think), slowed to an unintelligible pace that kinda sounds like adults talking in Peanuts. From their the tape runs and the band’s fried jangle comes seeping in, sounding as though the band are practicing in the floor below you.

Recorded using vintage cassette records and reel-to-reels, the tape sound in unmistakeable on their debut EP, Pottery, due out November 1st via Are You Kidding Me? Tapes. Recorded as a trio, it’s a flood of somber moods and melodies, blurred together in the din of home recording.
