Time v Pleasure, due out February 28th, is an eclectic offering, bringing you both the Sleepies you know and love, and much like it’s predecessor, pushing their sound to unknown territories, experimenting along the way.
Built upon punk scorn and raw yet catchy indie rock, a sound the have perfected over the years, the rest of the record expands outward, squirming in all directions. Sometimes life takes unexpected turns. Things can't stay the same forever, but after one listen to Sleepies' new record it's abundantly clear, we sure as hell missed Sleepies these past few years and their return couldn't be more welcome, The band's so called "nice-kid freak-punk" (their words, not ours) is tightly wound and bugged out. It's harsh and boisterous yet fun and inviting.
